John McGowan comes from Ontario, Canada where he grew to love performing at a young age.  After some years of acting school, he began taking voice lessons, which led to a passion for musical theater in University. Soon after he made the move to NYC to attend AMDA, eventually joining the Marquee Productions family soon after graduation. Past roles include Link in "Hairspray", Angel Dumott Schunard in "RENT", Nicky in "Avenue Q", Gabe in the Pulitzer Prize winner "Next to Normal"! He has most recently originated the role of Dr. Sheldon Cooper in The Big Bang Theory Off-Broadway.
